Padraic has a BA Hons (Economics and Politics), MA (Econometrics, Statistics and Applied Economics) and a DPA from University College Dublin. In addition to his role with the Company, he is currently Chairman of Hewitt and Becketts, Alltracel plc and Jones Distribution Ltd. He is also a Director of Eircom plc and ACC Bank.

He held the position of Group Managing Director of NCB Group Limited ("NCB") for the period from February 1991 to March 1999, and during this time he oversaw the sale of the company to National Westminster Bank Plc in 1994. During this period he was also a Director of the Irish Stock Exchange and a member of the Executive Committee of the FSIA. Prior to joining NCB in 1987, Mr. O'Connor held roles in IBI Treasury, the Irish Central Bank and the Department of Finance. Padraic has recently been appointed Chairman of the Irish Stock Exchange.
